Here in the United States, ultrasound probe repair is a business, part of a larger medical equipment repair industry that keeps the wheels of our hospitals spinning. But for thousands of remote communities across the world, one properly placed refurbished ultrasound probe can mean the difference between life and death. In these areas, ultrasound probe repair does not exist as a business. When ultrasound systems make their way overseas to mountain villages and underserved communities, they are most often not purchased but the result of a donation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>

For communities such as Titanyen, Haiti, the small clinics that exist are often badly in need of modern medical equipment, including ultrasound probes. Portable ultrasound systems can be lifechanging for the residents of these communities as well, as they are small enough to be taken by van or bus into the mountains on what are known as \"mobile medical clinics.\" Ultrasound probe repair can translate to thousands of lives saved when the repaired probes are sent to these communities and utilized by the village physicians.<\/p>\n

Most communities such as Titanyen are in need of a basic outfit of probes, with the number one request being OB\/GYN usage probes. A simple ultrasound scan can detect abnormal conditions in both a mother and a developing baby that could be fatal if left undiagnosed.<\/p>\n

Our hope is that through our ultrasound probe repair process combined with our donations process, we can do our part to save lives around the world. Another way we partner with communities such as Titanyen is to point the local community leaders in the direction of an organization such as Hope Imaging<\/a>. Hope Imaging sends trained ultrasound technicians from the Unites States overseas to mentor and train local physicians in hopes of building up the sustainability of global healthcare. We are honored to be a part of the world's improving healthcare system and will continue to use our ultrasound probe repair process to help save lives as long as we're in business!<\/p>\n
