One of the best-selling portable ultrasound machines on the market today remains the GE Logiq e. It\u2019s versatile and always a \u201csafe bet\u201d when purchasing an ultrasound machine.<\/p>\n

Although the\u00a0Logiq e\u00a0is supposed to be user-friendly, some things are not simple. It can be a complicated piece of equipment, especially when you\u2019re looking into the system utilities, exporting, or connecting to a network.<\/p>\n

The GE Logiq e basic ultrasound training series will help you understand one of the best portable ultrasound machines, how it works, and its semi-complicated workflow.<\/p>\n

Understanding the GE Logiq e Ultrasound Machine<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The very popular GE Logiq e ultrasound machine can be a complex, difficult-to-use system once you get beyond the basic scanning. That\u2019s not to say it\u2019s difficult for everyone, but for those looking to using its more advanced features, such as system customization and DICOM setup, few people get can correctly perform these functions without some sort of initial difficulty.<\/p>\n

Using Doppler and M-Mode on the GE Logiq e is relatively straightforward, however, there are some hidden customizations and optimization features that are not known by most users.<\/p>\n

DICOM, Networking, PACS, and Exporting<\/strong><\/h3>\n

I don\u2019t think I\u2019ve ever spoken with someone who has successfully exported images or set up a connectivity solution for the GE Logiq e on their first try.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m talking about experienced IT people, sonographers, physicians, etc. Even the most experienced people call me frustrated and baffled at the seemingly confusing and complicated DICOM connectivity with the Logiq e.<\/p>\n

In fact, until I released this video, this issue was, hands\u00a0down, the #1 technical support issue I deal with on the\u00a0GE Logiq e\u00a0involving connectivity and exporting images.<\/p>\n

While this process is not intuitive, the connectivity and export options on the Logiq e are powerful and diverse. However, unfortunately you\u2019ll need solid\u00a0knowledge of your network or access to an IT professional, as well as\u00a0information from your PACS\/DICOM provider.<\/p>\n

This video shows how to export images, and where to go to input the data received by the PACS administrator (radiologist or DICOM server admin), but you\u2019ll need to get the proper information from the network administrator and PACS admin.<\/p>\n

Additionally, exporting images for viewing on a PC in a PC format such as JPG or AVI can be extremely difficult and often produces poor results. This video discusses exporting in DICOM format and\u00a0avoiding any other format for exporting images. It simply doesn\u2019t work unless you try to use MPEGVue, which is incompatible with recent\u00a0Windows operating systems.<\/p>\n

GE Logiq e Setup, Configuration, and Customization Training<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The final installment of the GE Logiq e Training Series introduces the Utilities features on the GE Logiq e, which involves customization, presets, and a wide variety of settings on the Logiq e. These screens can be very complex, but I address what each screen does and you can decide what is important and what is not.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0\u00a0GE Logiq e\u00a0configuration screens are shown throughout this training series, as many important features can be found there. It\u2019s a good idea to walk through this overview of the utilities screen and understand all the things you can change and customize on your Logiq e.<\/p>\n
